We have an exciting opportunity for a GIS Developer to provide support to the Geomatics & Data Management team who are involved in all aspects of Worley’s project delivery and are developing digital solutions leveraging GIS and custom applications. This position involves day-to-day support responsibilities, software maintenance, software development and contribution to further automation within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of existing C# ArcObjects automation tools
  • Provide technical support and assistance to project team
  • Extending software based on internal requirements by project team using C#, Python and/or SQL
  • Fault diagnosis of in-house developed ESRI desktop tools
  • Identify issues and problems and develop appropriate solutions
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships within Worley Group, with its clients and other stakeholders

About You:

To be considered for this role, it is envisaged that you will possess the following attributes:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in IT/GIS or a related discipline
  • Experience in the GIS industry (5+ years)
  • Application development using C#.NET (5+ years)
  • ESRI development experiences including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcObjects, ArcGIS Server and ArcPy
  • Proven ability to provide high quality , comprehensive client service and establish effective working relationships to communicate, consult and negotiate with project teams through sound communication, teamwork and liaison skills
  • Proven ability to competently perform a broad range of operational tasks associated with geospatial and administrative duties
  • Proven ability in technical writing with ability to develop and maintain user guides and training material
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as a member of a team
  • Knowledge of these technologies is highly desirable: ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, MS SQL Server 2016+ and SQL, particularly the use of the spatial data types
